Yan Ting's
portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Lim Yan Ting and this is a website dedicated to my craft. It's a work in progress but as the saying goes; no artist is ever finished creating. So check out my website to follow my creative journey!

About Me
Having graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with a diploma in Broadcast Media, my journey reflects my strong passion for creative expression through film. Over the course of three years, I immersed myself in numerous film projects, each varying in style and genre. With every endeavour, I embraced experimentation and pushed the boundaries of my creativity, fuelling my ambition to produce work that resonates deeply.

As I embark on the next chapter of my creative journey, I am driven to expand my horizons and explore new domains and mediums. While film has been my primary canvas, I am eager to seek fresh avenues for my creativity.

I am confident that I will continue to produce work that is both meaningful and transformative
My Works
Down the Rabbit Hole
An animal abuse campaign i did for a school project.

In the narrative, Iris, preparing for college, faces a decision about her toy bunny. Through her story, I highlighted the importance of caring for our animal companions to prevent their suffering and loneliness. Let's prioritize the well-being of innocent creatures before it's too late.
Late at Night
A short film project i did for a school project.
Geraldine runs for shelter after being shot by a wanted psychotic killer, who prey on innocent girls. While hiding in the basement, she sees officer Boyner, walking into the place Geraldine came from. She has to warn the officer of what is about to happen before all hell breaks loose.
Silent Cries
(short version)
A documentary about sexual harassment i did for a school project.

Three victims telling their stories of sexual harassment. They talk about the fear of speaking up, the shame and guilt that grows inside of them and how they have learned from it in order to move on. Sexual harassment is experienced by 81% of women and 43% of men but only a few percent of them can speak out about it. Voices are meant to be heard, never silenced.
Hakone Vlog
A personal video i posted on my social media of a place that is very special to me; Hakone. I wanted to capture the beauty of the country side in the winter and show the little details around the town that makes Hakone so homely and wonderful.

Beginners guide to: Acoustic Guitar
An After Effects project i did for school.
A 1 minute informative video of how to play guitar and encourage people to pick it up as a hobby.
Northwest Naturals Giveaway Winners interview
I made this video when i was a video and marketing intern at Citrus Media. I had the opportunity to make a variety of videos for the companies social media platforms and this is one of the many videos that i enjoyed making.

This is an interview of the participants who won the giveaway for Northwest Naturals treats for their pets and they talk about why they chose to participate in the Northwest Naturals giveaway.
Life's a Beach
I produced a humorous social media video as part of my Engaging Communities class project, collaborating with Jane Goodall.
This video is targetted to a younger audience to teach them about preserving our environment. The video aims to convey the importance of small actions in preventing global warming. To enhance engagement, I included an animated segment illustrating the effects of littering.
